How does pricing work?

Because we believe in transparency. All of our pricing, from balloon decor to backdrops and prop rentals - is listed right on our website so you can plan with confidence. No hidden fees, no surprises. Just clear, straightforward pricing to help make your event planning stress-free.

Do you have a minimum?

We don’t require a minimum for delivery -instead, a delivery fee is applied based on your location.
You're welcome to book a single service or bundle balloon decor, backdrops, and other rentals to create your ideal setup. We’re all about flexibility and making your event planning as smooth as possible.

Do you offer delivery and set up?


Yes! We offer delivery within a 10-mile radius of our Greenville, NC headquarters at no extra cost.
If your event is farther out, no worries - we charge a transparent rate of just $2.50 per additional mile.

We also provide professional setup and takedown for all installations. A 20% service fee is applied to cover the time, care, and materials involved in bringing your vision to life.


When is payment due?

To secure your event date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Your date is not officially reserved until this deposit is received.

The remaining balance is due no later than 5 days before your event. This allows us to finalize every detail and ensure your celebration runs smoothly from start to finish.

Modern Rentals Terms and Conditions

Setup and Satisfaction

  • Setup charges and payments guarantee your props and balloon decor will be 100% perfect upon completion of setup. Once we leave, you agree that you are satisfied with the installation.
     

Weather Policy

  • We cannot guarantee balloon durability or backdrop stability in outdoor environments due to weather conditions like sun, wind, rain, or snow.
     
  • Balloons placed outdoors will degrade immediately, turning matte unless you’ve paid for the OutShine Shine option.
     
  • Modern Rentals is not responsible for damages or service disruptions caused by acts of nature, including but not limited to rain, high winds, electrical outages, hurricanes, or other “acts of God.”
     

Rental Use and Care

  • Customers agree not to loan, sublet, or dispose of any rented backdrops or props.
     
  • Rental equipment is received in good condition and must be returned the same way. Customers are responsible for loss or damage and will be invoiced for repair or replacement costs within 5 days of the incident, payable within 15 days.
     
  • Customers must ensure all users (and their guardians, if minors) sign liability waivers.
     
  • Stakes and sandbags are used for stability; customers choose locations and accept responsibility for any damage to sprinklers, pipes, cables, or landscaping. Modern Rentals is not responsible for grass or ground damage.
     
  • Inform Modern Rentals in writing or in the quote request notes of any decorations or adornments you plan to add at least 72 hours before your event to avoid a $100 fee.
     
  • There is no warranty that rented items are defect-free.
     

Replacement Items

  • Balloon decor may occasionally have defects or fail due to manufacturer issues or during order processing.
     
  • Defective items will be replaced during order preparation. If defects arise during delivery, we will replace with an exact or similar item of equal or lesser value. If no acceptable replacement is available, a refund will be issued.
     

Cancellation Policy

  • Deposits and payments are non-refundable but can be credited toward a future event within one year.
     
  • We do not cancel for weather unless there is a National Weather Service or local state of emergency warning. Rescheduling is allowed for weather emergencies or COVID-related illness for up to one year.
     
  • Our policies are lenient regarding personal emergencies; we strive for 150% customer satisfaction.
     
  • No refunds are given for incorrect or missing addresses; additional fees apply to move displays to the correct address.
     
  • No refunds are given if animals or other hazards prevent setup.
     
  • Customers must notify us of complaints within 48 hours of delivery at modernrentals.nc@gmail.com.
     

Legal and Liability

  • This agreement is governed by North Carolina state law.
     
  • The client is responsible for all damages or injuries occurring from the rental, including those caused by Modern Rentals, the client, or any guests.
     
  • The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Modern Rentals, its employees, and contractors against all claims, damages, and legal costs related to this rental.
     
  • If the indemnity clause is unenforceable, the client’s damages are limited to the total amount paid to Modern Rentals.
     
  • Clients agree to reimburse all attorney fees, court costs, and expenses Modern Rentals incurs enforcing this contract or collecting payment.
